Things to do around Frogsong and the area

First, spend a few days wandering around the eleven acres of Frogsong. The river is waiting for you to swim, wade, walk, float & splash in.  Take some time to admire the great views of the mountains down near the river; we have manicured some beautiful spots for you.  Sip a mai-tai and watch the river flow as you float on top.  Walk through the magical Ironwood Forest to our little Great Falls, climb the rocks to our 360 degree view of mountains from the top & then lay down in the hammock & watch the lace of leaves above you.  Head off to the number of trails that lead down to the meadows of Horizon.  The many trails throughout the property are dotted with gnomes & fairies, as well as foxes, rabbits, deer, turtles & yes of course the FROGS.  Head out one evening down to the Lagoon to hear the song of the Frog, a symphony just for you.

After you have explored all the trails & magic spots within Frogsong property it is time to visit the dozens of wineries, fruit orchards, restaurants and antique stores all within twenty miles.  Wintergreen Resort is just around the corner and offers great skiing in winter, as well as fishing, horseback riding & a beautiful lake in the summer. A fantastic new brewery called Wild Wolf is about three minutes from Frogsong.  Nellysford itself is chocked full of interesting little dining spots as you can find on the web site above.

Also, just a hop, skip & jump away from Frogsong is Charlottesville,VA filled with art galleries, restaurants & stores.  We have plenty of brochures waiting for you.  So open a bottle of local wine, relax on the deck & watch the sunset behind those big blue mountains as you make your plans for the next few days.  But if you find yourself listening to the river & gazing at the rich canopy of stars above you, remember, it is okay to just drop all those plans & relax right here at Frogsong.  You deserve it!
